August 2013 - September 2013Contracted to conduct IT Security/HIPAA-HITECH audit for a medical practice firm based in Miami-Dade, with over 30 centers in the tri-county area and in other states. Conducted site audits, reviewed & revised internal security policies and created new ones, assisted firm with preparation for roll-out of electronic medical practice system.

Lead Windows Administrator at Motorola
October 1996 - February 2004Involved with site's migration from Unix-based system to Windows NT/2000-based system. Dealt with documentation/standards, setup and maintained servers and Exchange email system. Responsible for backups and system images. Overtime, many of these tasks migrated to others as support group grew, and my involvement was to oversee things. In addition, my organization had a CMM-based development methodology, so was involved with improvement with this methodology over time. We were eventually assessed at CMM Level 3. Later we looked at COBIT and ITIL.

February 1996 - October 1996Was responsible for servers as our local site, which included Unix (Sun/Solaris and HP) and Windows. Later became the Lead Windows NT admin as we setup and moved to Windows from Unix, including the setup of Domain servers and Exchange servers (which I also admined). Also set down procedures and created the first Windows workstation image used.

Tasks included setting up systems and accounts for users, setting up any development systems and networks for teams within the group. Also responsible for setting up and managing access to development work that needed to be secured.
